Payments, billing, invoicing, and consumer tax (VAT) compliance are handled by Creem (creem.io), acting as our authorised Merchant of Record. All checkout transactions are concluded with, and governed by the Terms of Service of, Creem, who appears as the seller on your invoice and payment statement.

MEXT Scholarship Platform ("we", "us") is an independent test-preparation service for international students applying to Japanese government (MEXT) scholarships. We are not affiliated with the Japanese government or the Ministry of Education. For data-protection purposes, the data controller is the operator of mextexams.com (see "Operator & Seller" above), contactable at support@mextexams.com.
Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6). We process account and usage data to perform our contract with you (providing your account and subscription); we process technical and anti-fraud data under our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and working; and we process data for marketing only with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
We retain account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@mextexams.com. Deleted accounts are purged within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
We use only functional cookies required for authentication (session token stored in local storage). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
If you are in the EU/EEA or UK you have the right to access, correct, or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw any consent you have given. Contact us at support@mextexams.com for any data request.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Purchases give you immediate access to digital content. At checkout, our Merchant of Record (Creem) collects your express consent to begin delivery immediately and your acknowledgement that you thereby lose the EU 14-day right of withdrawal. Accordingly, once access begins, all sales are final and non-refundable.
This change-of-mind waiver does not affect your statutory rights if the content is faulty, inaccessible, or materially not as described. In that case you remain entitled to a legal remedy — contact support@mextexams.com and we will investigate promptly. Refunds, where due, are processed by Creem as Merchant of Record.
